The Tree That Binds The Light That Fades & The Dark That Grows

There is a tree that stands that I once used to know so well. It’s roots beckon upwards, far above, reaching towards the Twilight ray’s that once shone so brightly across this place, long before darker nights. It’s roots held many secrets, spouting whispers of fates, revealing the mysteries of life and death, whilst also teaching us all about wars past.

This tree stands stands that I once used to know stems from branches that fester from far below the earth, it’s tendrils clenching and clinging to the faulty foundation in which I once discovered for myself. These branches spoke of dangerous lies, and forgotten love. These branches knew of infinite hurt, and infinite longings – they knew of contracts that extended to the very fates that march upon me today, alongside the shadows.

This tree that stands that I once used to know is the binding of the very light that fades before my eyes, to the darkness that has begun to fester even greater, straining me eyes to infinite lengths. This tree is a conductor and a seer; for it had bear witnessed to this before it had begun, and soon it shall dispel secrets of what will come in the end. This tree is eerie in essence, it is all knowing, forever watching and forever waiting. It is a force that keeps me bounded to earth, but soon, just like the ages we have left behind – it must turn to dust.
