Nightfall: Voices of the Advent

Time has inevitably sped up since the end of the exile. And while I now, may be left here empty handed, andĀ cold hearted, my soul glows brighter for I know the dawn of the new Advent is almost in reach. Since the first snowfall, they have been arriving in groups. Armies scattered, yet every one of them, essential in their own way. They wait for a war that is soon to be fought, a war that will be fought before the new dawn. As they have a battle to be fought, so do I. The darkness that has plagued me throughout these strange lands is now beginning to reveal itself, and while it had felt so far away before, I am now learning that it is closer than I had originally thought.

Even during these what are soon to be last days, you are still not present. It is of course now that I realize after I cross into this new era, what we had will be forever lost, erased into a darker past, chained inside it’s own paradox and time continuum. Though a part of me patiently awaits for your return, another side of me seeks to move forward, despite the destruction I know it will bring to me as a whole. For this soul is bound to you, and shall be until the new dawn, for during that time it will crack and break, burn and melt; vanishing, much like the sunsets I had grown so fondly of.

I have been brought back to earth thanks to the coming of the 4th sleep. For the first time, since long before the exile, I am one once again.
