03 Oct Shades
Like many, I am a being of many colors. But the colors we hold are those that you cannot see on the spectrum. We ride along the lines smoothly, like planes gliding through the midnight sky, or a ship making its way across some blackened sea, in peace, ignorant of the forces that seep silently on the waters, stirring in the night. We’ve seen our fates, don’t trust us with weapons so dangerous, for we may chase futures that could ultimately lead us to another lifetime.
We have been silenced by those who are all-too-blind to see the spectrums that reside right in front of their very eyes, they are floating in the wind, making their way across skylines, yet they travel alone, like nothing I have ever seen. Let me being of my word and obtain a spectrum so dark, that not even those who reside within the shadows wish to go near it. This force is so dark, it glimmers, in patterns that set off odd and mysterious signals within my brain, causing me to shake and shimmer violently, like an ember.
I pray one day I will find others like me. Or at least beings, like you. While I do believe a healing can take place with a single individual, a process shall be sped up when the numbers rise. They are warring with us here, seeking to re-establish cycles and steal the last of what I know of my heart. But oh no, I won’t let it go, I won’t let it fall to something so dangerous. I won’t let it take me alive, not now, not ever. We collectively dreamed of an age of gold, it was glimmering with warmth of some higher realm, some place that seems so foreign to me, yet familiar. It does not matter now, however, for the task at hand is like a rising tidal wave. It has begun to grow stronger and stronger with every storm it manages to kick up. This house I have built won’t hold, I know it won’t. And though I can still run, this time I refuse. I will be swallowed whole, and the rest shall remain a mystery to me, it shall remain a mystery to us all. You’ll find me within them, and you’ll find them within you, and you’ll find you within you within me.
You promised we’d go together.
