22 Dec The Dark Knight
I am a dark knight. A warrior, like all of the rest of those who traverse these lands, and all of the rest of those who have been plagued by curse of poison since the dawn of days. There are many knights like I, and though our cries go unheard, silent, during the darkest hours – we still stand as one. As a knight, I do not live solely for the mere desire to be alive, for purpose is what gives us life, and so purposes are what we seek. I am a knight, and with before taking on such a role, one must take on great secrets, obtain great knowledge, and suffer great loss.
My armor has been cloaked in black, for an age much more darker, much more sinister than I have ever known is afoot, and while we wage this war – I know the only true deliverance is death. Death, doom, fate – spinning uncontrollably in it’s place, spiraling out of space, and soon swallowing whole all that I am. I have run from it my entire life, I have fought against it for as long as I can remember, and now, because I have courted it – it seeks the remaining light that I hold, the remaining light that I know. The only true part of me that remains.
I know, at this hour of absolute darkness, it is certain to me now that my end is near; and though my vision remains blur, disabling me from seeing the future as I once could – I have gradually begun to come to peace with what is destined to take place. For even though every new age begins with a new dawn, I know the dawn that follows this darkened night will be greeted by shadows greater than the sun-rays. It will be these very shadows, these very forces that will drag us into this coming age we have dreaded, but have known for sometime is destined to take place. And though the time of the Cavern Walls is far behind me, I cannot help but feel a familiar feeling while all of this takes place.
For whilst escaping the echoes, I have become entangled with the shadows above, strapped and strangled somewhere In Between, and though this place is beginning to shift and shape into a landscape of it’s own, I know I will soon no longer be safe, for the very shadows that I have taken refuge in are the very ones who have turned me into what I have now become, during this very dark night.
